History

Since 1988 when The Sports Racing and GT Challenge was created, many other racing series have come and gone, whilst we have become an established part of the British club racing scene. We appeal to those drivers looking to enjoy their racing in the company of like minded people without the worry of rising costs due to unsporting contact and ever changing regulations. We welcome a wide variety of models and manufacturers catering for original and replica (pre-1976) two-seater sports and GT cars. Such diversity not only ensures attractive grids and great entertainment for spectators and competitors alike, but also value for money racing at circuits across the UK.

The series is characterised by a very friendly atmosphere and although racing on the track is taken extremely seriously and competitively, most of our competitors feel that a good season on the track is complemented by a good season in the paddock. Each year we have an end of year dinner to celebrate the successes of the season. As we stay overnight at circuits we often join in a BBQ or a beer and similarly we have our own prize giving following the racing, to mull over what might have been, all adding to the camaraderie and friendly feel of the challenge!
